Today is National Coffee Day, and I’m having a little fun by joining in on the Coffee Lovers’ Bloghop. Be sure to grab your favorite cuppa Joe and hop along to see all of the coffee-themed cards. Okay, maybe it’s not just about fun — there are a lot of cool prizes up for grabs thanks to the generous sponsors. Thanks so much sponsors! We love you all!
So here is my entry into the mix — a fun card using a Taylored Expressions die set called “Color Block Cutting Plate”, and the Paper Smooches stamp set called “Hot Concoctions”.
The color theme is pretty much browns and reds. The background paper and the frame are both cut from a dark brown solid cardstock. I cut a piece of brown polka dot paper just a little larger than the frame and placed it underneath the frame. I used the scallop dies included in the die set (there are lots of pieces so lots of ways to use it) to cut the ivory background pieces to fit into each of the frames. I used a lot of the stamps in the “Hot Concoctions” set on the card — there are lots of fun elements that were perfect for my coffee-themed card. The ink I used was Memento — Rich Cocoa and Lady Bug.
If you’re looking for something fun and new to add to your collection, I highly recommend the Color Block Cutting Plate (Taylored Expressions) and the Hot Concoctions stamp set (Paper Smooches). You’ll love them both.
Thanks for joining me in celebration of National Coffee Day — now hop on!
