Anniversary Card featuring Tim Holtz Dies

t holtz anniversary

This is an anniversary card that I made for my Sister and Brother-in-Law for their anniversary celebration.  I also posted the card with tips and instructions on the Cut at Home blog on July 7th.  Here’s a link to that post http://www.ucutathome.com/blog/2015/07/07/anniversary-card-tim-holtz-dies/.  Detailed information on how I created the card is included there.

The dies that I used are the Handwritten Love die set and the Tiny Tattered Florals die set, both by Tim Holtz (Sizzix).  I think that what made this card extra special was the handmade, textured Japanese paper that I used for the card front (green) and the card base (ivory).  The words were also cut from the ivory handmade paper.  Handmade papers add such subtle beauty to a card — I love how they enhance it.  If you haven’t worked with the Tiny Tattered Florals yet, you will absolutely love them.  There are a number of flower styles and sizes to choose from — you just can’t go wrong.  A small quilling tool is included with the die set to make it easier for you to create the absolute perfect flowers for any project.

It is always hard to pick a card to enter into a challenge, particularly the World Wide Design Team Monthly Open Challenge.  This one is one of my faves, and I hope that you like it.

Thanks!

Cheryl
